Filming in Aubervilliers | La Nuit venue
Monday 27 July 2020
Filmed in October 2018, Fréderic Farrucci's first feature film is a dark drama evoking the journey of a young Chinese DJ, now an immigrant in France, driving a VTC through the streets of Paris every night to pay off his debts.
One night, Noémie, played by Camélia Jordana, seduced by his silence and the music he listens to (original composition of the band RONE), offers him to become his personal driver.
Filmed between Paris and the commune of Aubervilliers in Seine Saint-Denis, Frédéric Farrucci's first feature film, La Nuit venue, is one of the first French fiction films to immerse its viewer in the heart of the Chinese community.

It was in the heart of Aubervilliers that Frédéric Farrucci decided to film this community of invisibles: the Marechal centre in Aubervilliers was used as a location for the film, as were several private places, certain streets in the town and the social housing estate.

The first French feature-length fiction film to focus on the fate of these arriving Chinese immigrants, La Nuit venue was accompanied by our teams and helped by the Paris Region for an amount of 109,000 euros.
An open-air preview was organised at the Fort d'Aubervilliers on Saturday 11 July 2020 with the film's team. This was a friendly opportunity for residents and spectators to discover the film and ask the team their questions.
