Since 2005 the Ile de France Film Commission creates and implements educational tours for a group of professionals in the film and audiovisual industry (managers, assistant directors, production managers, chief designers, writers and directors). It aims to highlight the potential of a place as a movie set or broadcasting. Beyond the site visit, the professionals meet with team sites in order to discuss about the conditions use of the site (availability, rates, constraints ...)

Fam trip: To Paris with love !
Regarding the particular interest of British productions for the Ile de France region ("Honey" by Stephen Frears film, supported by the Regional Support Fund, "An Education," Lone Scherfig, "Paris Connections" of Harley Cokliss and "WE" Madonna have especially been shot in Ile-de-France in the last three years), the Film Commission has welcomed in Paris a dozen scouts and directors of British production to discover the diversity of region’s sites on November 8 and 9.
Among the English scouts who participated in this operation, we can mention:
Dan Connolly ("Bronson"), Richard Godfrey ("Huge"), Robin Higgs ("Casino Royale," "Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2," "Batman: The Dark Knight"), Johnny Ludlow ("Roman’s Empire") Robin Pim ("Fallen Angel"), Leonora Sheppard (commercials "Mercedes", "BMW" ...) and Charlie Somers ("Green Zone," "Sherlock Holmes").
Three symbolic places have been visited from an unusual point of view: The Louvre Museum, the Palace of Versailles and Monet exhibition at the Grand Palais.
The Louvre, Versailles and the Réunion des Musées Nationaux joined the Film Commission to organize the Fam trip.
The aim of the operation is to encourage British upcoming productions to film in Ile de France.
