For a better consideration of the environment in the broadcasting productions


The audiovisual sector emits approximately equivalent 1 million tons CO2 in the atmosphere every year, the quarter of which approximately is directly connected to the filmmakings according to a study on the sector realized in 2011. For a better consideration of the environment in the broadcasting productions, six actors of the sector launched the approach Ecoprod and created the Ecoprod action group in 2009. Since then three news partners have joined.

Tools : 

Ecoprod develops and gives to the professionals a center of resources to reduce the ecological footprint of their activity.

  • The collective developed the first computer of carbon footprint dedicated to the broadcasting productions: Carbon'ClapSeveral supports of production have been realized to test tools and make sure of the duplicability of the green practices.

  • The guide of the eco-production has been published and a partnership was also introduced with the company Eco-Act to allow the producers to compensate for emissions.

  • Last born of the Ecoprod tools, the Charter is a reference, an identity branding for all the companies in the film industry engaged in a eco-responsible process and one of the dimensions of the CSR – Corporate Social Responsibility. This new tool represents a guideline that assists the companies in the progressive adoption of an eco-responsible approach through the constant improvement of the information delivered, reflection and implementation.
